Meet the Team
Clare Hazelhurst
Founder & Co-Owner | Advanced Nurse Practitioner & Prescriber
Clare is the founder of Skin Lab and brings over a decade of NHS experience within General Practice. After training as a nurse in Leeds, she worked in GP settings for more than 10 years, developing expertise in wound care, diabetes management, cardiovascular disease, respiratory medicine and sexual health.
Clare holds a Degree in Adult Nursing and a Level 7 Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice. She is an Independent Prescriber and continues to work within the NHS as a Clinical Lead and Advanced Nurse Practitioner within a community Urgent Care Response Team — diagnosing, examining and treating patients at an advanced level.
Clare is passionate about evidence-based aesthetics and will always prioritise what is right for the patient. Honest consultations, realistic outcomes and personalised treatment plans are central to her approach.
Kerry
Co-Owner | Advanced Nurse Practitioner & Prescriber
Kerry joined Skin Lab in 2022 and is joint co-owner alongside Clare.
With a background in Intensive Care Nursing across the UK and Australia, Kerry has extensive experience managing critically unwell patients. She later completed her Level 7 Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice and is also an Independent Prescriber.
Kerry continues to work within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals at an advanced level, examining, diagnosing and prescribing for patients in acute care settings.
Her attention to detail, clinical precision and calm professionalism translate seamlessly into aesthetic practice. Kerry has a particular interest in injectable treatments, skin boosters and regenerative procedures.
Cheryl
Registered Nurse | Advanced Nurse Practitioner & Prescriber
We are delighted to welcome Cheryl to the Skin Lab team.
Cheryl brings a strong surgical background, having worked in colorectal surgery at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. Her experience within a high-acuity surgical environment has developed her clinical skill, attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Cheryl combines her surgical precision with a warm, reassuring approach, ensuring every client feels comfortable and confident throughout their treatment journey.
Cheryl has over 5 years experience working in skincare and aesthetics along side her NHS role.
Dr Adena Elliott
General Practitioner
We are proud to work alongside Dr Adena Elliott, a GP based in Wakefield.
Dr Elliott brings extensive experience in primary care medicine, supporting our clinic with medical oversight and advanced clinical expertise. Her involvement ensures our services remain aligned with the highest standards of medical governance and patient safety.
Having a GP as part of our extended team further reinforces our commitment to safe, regulated and medically responsible aesthetic practice.
