You can avoid the triggers listed above, however sometimes these efforts alone just dont tackle it.
We can offer a range of Treatments which are listed below to help manage the signs of redness and the associated symptoms.
We offer a Medically Licensed Chemical Peel which targets the vascular supply to the face which in turns improves the redness and other symptoms you maybe experiencing. Generally we ask clients to start using these products (Which can be purchased via our clinic) for 4 weeks prior to the Peel to build up their skin tolerance and allow the chemical peel to achieve the most optimal results. Chemical Peels can be uncomfortable with some stinging/burning throughout, however a fan is used to manage these symptoms. The Chemical Peel is a short procedure only lasting between 5 - 10 minutes. Chemical Peels can come with some mild to moderate down time for around a week with some mild skin shedding, sensitivity and redness. Most people tolerate chemical peels very well. Chemical Peels for Rosacea are best carried out in conjunction with Medical Grade Skin Care Products which clients can use at home Pre and post procedure. This will enable optimal results to be achieved. Chemical Peels are usually carried out every 2-4 weeks dependant on skin recovery time and usually clients require a course of around 6 treatments. Suitable for all skin types.
Here at Skin Lab we use a device called the Excelight to deliver IPL. Our Device has been produced by Lynton Lasers. Lynton Lasers are a multi-award winning UK based company, who have developed this IPL Device based on their clinical research at the University of Stockport. Our IPL device has an official UK Medical License for the conditions it treats, including Rosecea and redness. The Excelight device is one of the very few devices which is approved by the NHS. IPL uses the power of Light to generate hear, and a combination of light colours (which are not visible to the eye). These rays of light are then passed through the skin at Various impulse rates annd frequencies and in turn can manage all the signs & symptoms of Rosacea and redness. Results can vary and people often need to complete a course of around 6-8 treatments, 4 weeks apart, with maintenance top up IPL sessions if/when symptoms reoccur. There is no defined time when this maybe, and does vary from person to person. All white, Caucasian and Asian skin can be treated, however clients who are Fitzpatrick scale 4 (Darker skin types) are treated with caution and after a thorough assessment. Darker African skin clients Fitzpatrick 5 or 6 cannot have IPL treatments and are contraindicated to this treatment.
To discuss IPL in more detail and costing, please book an IPL Consultation Online Via the website homepage.
